So I woke up in the night and Mr Benjamina was snuggled so nicely next to me, I had to attempt to take a photo – in the dark, with my arms full of Benjamin!
I then decided to get up and see how the night nurse was doing (with my son with terminal disease on 24 hour nursing care) and she let me know Nicolas had brought in a mouse which she had popped outside until morning. Well… what an opportunity for ‘I was born feral’ Benjamina who very happily tucked in!
He was always an awesome hunter and his diet mostly consisted of ‘raw food’ so although always a little sad for the mouse, it was good to see Benjamina so happy tucking in to his favourite food! (No photo of that!)
Oh what a joyful, beautiful photo of you two. Thank you for sharing such a special moment.
Benjamin is such a good therapist isn’t he? It’s like animals just know when we need the comfort and love. I’m really sorry you are going through such a serious illness with your son, my heart goes out to you and your family. We are keeping you and him in our thoughts and hearts.
